St. George Credit Card Rewards Programme

The rewards programme using a St. George credit card is called ‘Instant Benefits’.  This means that as soon as anyone begins to shop using the St George Platinum or the Vertigo credit card, they begin to amass discount points.

There is no extra fee to qualify for these discounts – they come complimentary when the card is used to pay for goods and services.  In 2009 some examples of benefits a cardholder can receive are as follows:-
15% off the price of tickets at most well-known theme parks.
10% off barbeques when shopping at ‘Barbeques Galore’.
20% discount off the price of the best room rates at both Novotel and Mercure.
25% discount from the price of ladies’ clothing at Rockmans clothing store.

Other instant discounts include money off entertainment such as cinema or theatre tickets, discounts on travel or holidays, promotions on wine and other lifestyle products and a host of other retail store discounts.  The only stipulation is that the St. George card is used to pay for the goods or services.  These discounts and benefits will be automatically applied to the price of the goods and services on offer at the time of buying.

It must be noted that St. George retain the right to change any promotions and discount offers and that stores taking part in the service may vary from time to time.  Anyone wishing to use a particular service and who wants to find out if the Instant benefits system applies would need to check with the St George Bank site by clicking on the ‘Instant Benefits’ area of the site.

These rewards and discounts along with the fact that the Vertigo card was voted the cheapest credit card in Australia in both 2007 and 2008 makes this card a very attractive proposition to consider.

The platinum card has rewards and benefits exclusive to its own customers and also comes with an around the clock concierge system wherever the cardholder is in the world.  With a complimentary wide range of free insurance, this card should also be checked out as to whether or not it would be the right card for a specific customer’s requirements.
