Bank of Queensland Credit Cards
Don’t let its name fool you. The Bank of Queensland began as a major bank in Queensland but as of 2002 has begun to push onto the national stage to take on the big four banks. It has over 270 branches across Australia, including over 50 branches in New South Wales, over 20 in Victoria and over 30 in Western Australia. Thus Bank of Queensland will not balk at offering a variety of cards to match the big four, no matter what your banking needs may be.
The Bank of Queensland strictly tiers their cards into four types, with more services, features and as expected, greater fees with each level of service.
The Low Rate Visa is a simple no frills card for basic card users. This card features a minimum of features for those who find it unnecessary, but is otherwise cheap and competitive to the market. Other features includes 2.9% pa on balance transfers for the first six months, and the usual basic Bank of Queensland package which includes emergency card replacement within 24 hours, round the clock phone and internet banking and fraud shield security.
The Blue Visa is a standard well rounded card for consumers after a host of features, including rewards for balance reduction and similar perks. Other features includes: all the benefits of the Low Rate Visa, alongside cash back rewards and other gifts for reward points (1 point earned per dollar balance reduced by) and a purchase insurance cover of up to $50,000.
The Gold is the next level above. Get more all the perks of Blue Visa with greater limits on maximum credit and days of interest free repayment. The Gold includes all the perks available to the Low Rate Visa and the Blue Visa, alongside international travel insurance which makes it suited to frequent travellers.
For the premium users, when no substitute other than the best service and the best features would suffice, there is the Platinum. The Platinum card comes with every feature imaginable, and has a higher credit limit than the other cards. On top of all the benefits of the Gold, you may have four additional cards for no fees, a personal concierge. There are also personalised reward programs for each platinum user and on top of that, you get 50,000 reward points up front as well as 2 reward points for every $1 towards balance reduced by.
