No hassle credit card applications
Credit cards are a convenient way for consumers to purchase essentials and pay for them at a later date, keeping finances steady between income and outgo. But before anybody enjoys the privilege of using a credit card, they must first apply.
Filling out a credit card application is an easy processes. Once the prospective card user has identified a suitable credit card and met certain criteria, the process is fairly swift.
Applicants can either apply in person, over the Internet, or over the phone. If the applicant chooses to apply over the Internet, they should make sure they’re on the lender’s official website, and that a padlock is clearly visible to the right of the web browser or on the status bar. If applicants decide to apply over the phone, they must be sure to get the correct phone number either from the website or a branch of the lender.
To ease the process, applicants should have all the necessary information at their disposal. The information required includes:
● Australian driver’s license #
● Personal details, including full legal name, gender, date of birth, home address, telephone number, email addresses, and if the applicant intends to allocate an additional card for someone else, the personal information for that person.
● Financial information. Applicants should have their income information at their disposal, in addition to assets such as house, savings, investments, and vehicles. Prospective card users will also be required to list debts such as other credit cards, mortgages, loans, and other obligations.
● Applicants should also have the name and contact information of employers, as credit analysts may contact to confirm employment and income claims. Remember, income is key.
Applicants should also note a $15,000 minimum annual income is required for a standard credit card; $50,000 for a gold credit card; and platinum credit cards requires $65,000.
Applicants must also be Australian citizens or permanent residents at least 18 years of age. Some lenders do offer credit cards to non-permanent residents (student visa); nonetheless, these applicants are usually required to earn at least $50,000 per annum.
Successful applicants can expect to receive an approval letter and an acceptance kit in the mail within 5 business days.
