Citibank Visa credit cards

Visa is one of the top two credit cards worldwide, along with Mastercard.  Basically, wherever one of them is acceptable the other one will be too.
There are millions of ATM’s across the globe in over 170 different countries where cash can be accessed in the local currency using a Visa card.  Also it is a recognised form of paying for goods or services in any country you may be visiting.  Whereas a cheque may not now be accepted in food stores, cinemas or hotels, the Visa credit card will be welcomed by any of these.

Citibank Clear Platinum – Clear Platinum is a prestigious card that has 0% interest on balance transfers and purchases for 6 months and a huge range of rewards as well as complimentary travel insurance and access to Visa concierge.  Citibank are proud of their new Instant Rewards program where the customer can receive a discount at the point of sale.  There are literally hundreds of outlets, hotels, leisure complexes and travel companies that have signed up as partners in this rewards program.

Citibank  Platinum – Very similar to the Clear Platinum card in that customers have access to the range of rewards and discounts.  However, this card is ideal for those who wish to spread the cost of transferred balances as it is presently offering a low rate of 4.9% per annum for the life of the transferred amount.  This type of rate would usually have a time limit and so it is well worth considering if time to pay your balance off is an issue.

Citibank Gold – A card that is accessible to those with an income of $35 000 per year and over.  It is currently offering a very competitive rate of 1.9% on balance transfers for 9 months.  These transfers must be from any bank other than Citi.  Customers using this card have access to the Citibank World Privileges program and are, at present, being offered the free travel insurance normally reserved for cards with higher prestige. This card also gives access to the Citibank Rewards program which amasses points for every spend ($1 = 1 point).  Points can then be used to purchase goods and services at a wide range of retailers, theme parks, holiday destinations and travel across the globe.
